Sakura

SAKURA

a housing estate in Prague, Czech Republic

The entire perimeter of houses on all floors is lined with continuous planters that provide sufficient soil for vegetation, spanning from grasses to mature shrubs. Appropriate choices of plant varieties together with an irrigation system put in place will ensure the appearance of greenery throughout the year. A large roof garden with a selection of mature trees crowns the top of the apartments.
The project is named after Sakura Japanese flowering cherries that can be found both in the adjacent private park and gardens and roof terraces. The residential building contains a total of 64 units and three roof villas. There are a café and shop proposed on the ground floor with a private park adjacent, with facilities for recreation and a playground available for apartment owners.
